Media event managementEvery guest in their role.
Premiere, award show, festival: press, audience and VIPs on one guest list, credentialed and read at the door. AirLST keeps credentials, allocation, release and scan on the same guest, even when airtime is fixed.
- 1Groups with their own rights
Press, talent, VIPs and audience with their own invitation and zone.
- 2Zone at the scan
Check-in sees group and zone, from the photo pit to the theater.
- 3Waitlist per show
Whoever moves up gets ticket and seat by email.

What decides who gets in at a premiere or show
Four rules that apply as soon as press, audience and guests come together. For each: what it means for the event, and where it comes from.
Press and creator credentials
Organizers credential by their own policy, often with separate tracks for editorial journalists and content creators. Whoever is credentialed has to be recognizable at the door, with the zones that come with the credential.
Source: SXSW: press and content creator applicationsADA: accessible and companion seats
A buyer of an accessible seat may add up to three companion seats in the same row, contiguous with the accessible seat, and venues may hold back accessible seats that are not yet sold. For a show with ticketed seating this is part of the allocation, not a favor at the door.
Source: ADA.gov: ticket salesRight of publicity: releases before filming
The right of publicity protects against unauthorized commercial use of a person’s name or likeness, mostly under state law. Audiences that end up on screen sign a release first; the notice belongs in the registration, not on a sign at the door.
Source: Cornell LII: right of publicityCOPPA: registrations of children under 13
Online services that collect personal information from children under 13 fall under COPPA. For audience registration this usually means: the parent registers, the child comes as a companion with date of birth on record.
Source: FTC: Children’s Online Privacy Protection RuleThese summaries are not legal advice; what counts are the requirements of your legal team, your venue and the licensing authority. For productions in Germany, German rules on image rights, youth protection and assembly venues apply as well. How AirLST processes data is described in the Trust Center.
Who invites, who checks, and what each needs
Who from the press is credentialed, and where can they go?
Press is its own guest group with outlet, role and type of proof in the registration; the scan shows zone and status, from the photo pit to the press room.
Premiere eventsIs the audience seated when the taping starts?
Allocation per taping, waitlist and live attendance: production sees how many seats are open before the start, and fills them.
Event check-in appHow do 10,000 applications become one studio audience?
Registration or sweepstakes with required fields for age and companions, allocation and waitlist per date, tickets by email for everyone with a seat.
Guest list appWho may enter which zone, and how many are already in?
QR scan online and offline at every door, zone and guest group visible at the scan, smart gates for large events.

Security and data protection
- TISAX-assessed
AirLST has been assessed under TISAX, the information security standard of the automotive industry.
TISAX at AirLST - Hosted in Germany
The platform runs on Amazon Web Services in Germany. The AWS infrastructure holds ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 and BSI C5; these are certifications of our hosting provider, not of AirLST.
Data hosting - GDPR and DPA
Processing follows the GDPR, with a data processing agreement; the current list of subprocessors is provided with it.
GDPR - Signed at the guest
Consents and NDAs are signed digitally and stored with the guest record; the entrance sees at the scan whether the signature is there.
Event access control
Tickets and fees are paid in the registration form through Stripe, Mollie or PayPal. Revenue goes straight to your account; card data stays with the provider.

Read the case studyPress and creators: two ways to a credential
Organizers now separate editorial journalists from content creators. SXSW runs a press application for newspapers, magazines, broadcast, podcasts and freelance assignments, and a separate application for creators who publish mainly on social platforms (SXSW press). For the guest list that means two groups with their own fields and zones. How AirLST sets up a premiere with press is described under premiere events.
Airtime does not wait. The guest list has to be right before the doors open.
Releases before the camera
The right of publicity gives people control over commercial use of their name and likeness, mostly under state law (Cornell LII). A studio audience that may appear on screen therefore signs a release before the taping. In AirLST the notice sits in the registration and the release is signed digitally; production and publicity filter by it. For productions in Germany and the EU, the GDPR and German image rights apply instead; how AirLST processes data is described in the Trust Center.
Accessible seating is part of the allocation
The ADA ticketing rule lets buyers of an accessible seat add up to three companion seats in the same row, and venues may hold back accessible seats until they are needed (ADA.gov). For a premiere or show with assigned seating, that is a quota in the setup, not an exception at the door. In AirLST seating areas, companions and allocations are standard; see seating chart.
