Event badge printing.Name badges with a barcode, printed at check-in.
Event badge printing with AirLST starts in your guest list: name, company, job title and guest group on your own template, with a barcode that turns the badge into the attendee's pass. Badges print on-site at check-in in seconds, or in advance as a batch PDF.
Print event badges without retyping a list.
Any registration field can go on the badge; group and color come from the attendee record.
The scan prints the badge in seconds at the station printer. No-shows cost you nothing.
The booking code on the badge makes it a pass for rooms, zones and lead retrieval.
Batch PDF for speakers, staff or the whole event, from the same template.
One template. A badge for every guest group.
You design the name badge once: logo, colors, fields, barcode. Placeholders fill in from the guest list for each attendee. VIPs, press and attendees get their own variants, so your door team can tell at a glance who is standing in front of them.
Name large, company below, job title only where it helps; logo and group as a color.
Anything the registration form asks can go on the badge: workshop, table, outlet, role.
Templates in your brand design, built by your team or as a service by AirLST.
Printed at check-in. In seconds. Only for those who come.
On-site badge printing works like this: scanning the ticket sends the badge to the station printer. There is no pickup table with badges sorted A to Z, no line at the letter M and no box of badges for people who never showed up. Walk-ins get their badge the same way.

Printer at the station, template per group; several stations print in parallel.
Badge lost or name misspelled: correct it, print again, with a log entry.
Registered on-site, code created, badge printed, in the list like everyone else.
The name badge is the pass. The barcode makes it readable.
The barcode on the badge is the attendee's booking code. When it is scanned, AirLST knows who is at the session door, who enters a zone, who checks a coat and who talks to an exhibitor at the booth. Attendees show their ticket once, at the entrance; after that, the badge is enough.
- Session check-inScan at the door: attendance per session, moving people up from the waitlist.
- Zone accessVIP area, backstage, press: the scan checks the guest group at the zone entrance.
- Coat check and lead retrievalThe digital coat check and exhibitor lead scanning read the same code; for lead retrieval with ScanMyLeads, the QR code is a vCard with a unique ID.
- On-site hardwareScanners, turnstiles and staff from event access control.

Name badges as a PDF: for the people you know are coming.
Speakers, staff, hosts, the guest-of-honor list: whoever is certain to attend gets a badge ahead of time. Filter the guest list, generate the badges for that selection as a batch on the same template, and print them in the office or at a print shop.
Filter the guest list, generate documents for the selection; everyone else prints on-site.
Advance and on-site badges look identical because they use the same template.
Anyone who cancels after the advance print shows as canceled in the list; their badge stays in the box.
Printers, badge stock and staff: what AirLST brings on-site.
The software prints from the guest list and the check-in app. Print stations with printers and badge stock, lanyards, scanners and the staff at the entrance come from event access control, matched to the format, volume and pace of your event.

Mix and match: software only, software plus hardware, or everything including staff.
The name badge is the guest list your attendees wear around their necks.
Name, company, group and code come from the attendee record, and every badge scan writes back to it. That is why there is no separate badge file: there is the guest list.
For attendance per room, see training management software; for badges across several days, conference management; for exhibitors with lead retrieval, trade show management.
What is an event name badge?
An event name badge is the badge attendees wear on a lanyard, pin or magnet that tells everyone else who they are, which company or organization they represent and, where it helps, their job title. Event badge printing with AirLST means the data comes from the guest list, the template from your brand design, printing happens on arrival or in advance as a PDF, and a barcode makes the badge a machine-readable pass for the attendee.
Name badges make sense for almost any format, especially when many people meet who do not know each other yet: conferences, customer events, trade shows. They help at internal events too; nobody likes asking whether it was Christopher or Christian. People use names more often in conversation when they can see them, and that sticks. For the design, less is more: the name in a readable size, the company, the job title at trade shows, a clear logo and a clean layout.
The badge carries the guest list out into the room: name, company, group. And with the barcode, it carries it back.
How does event badge printing work with AirLST?
- Create the template. Layout, logo, colors, fields as placeholders (name, company, job title, group, table) and the barcode; one variant per guest group.
- Set up the stations. A print station with a printer at every entrance, connected to the check-in app; a template per station or per group.
- Pre-print what is certain. Speakers, staff and guests of honor as a batch from the guest list, as a PDF for the office or a print shop.
- Print on arrival. Ticket scan, check-in, badge in seconds; walk-ins are registered and get their badge; reprints from the app.
- Scan the badge. Sessions, zones, coat check and booths read the barcode; attendance and access are stored with the attendee.
- Report. Printed badges and scans per session and zone in the event reports.
How does printing on arrival compare with pre-printing and mail-merge templates?
A Word or Avery template with mail merge works for 30 guests: export the list, fill the template, print, cut, sort, then search for each badge at the door. At 300 guests it turns into a pickup table with letter signs, a line and a box of badges for people who never came. And every change after printing means a handwritten badge.
Printing on arrival means the badge is created the moment the attendee is there, with the data as it stands right now.
The scan is the trigger, the guest list the source, the print station the printer. Only people who come get a badge; names are spelled the way attendees registered them; the group is right because it comes from the record; and the barcode turns the badge into a pass for the rest of the event. Pre-printing stays for those who are certain to attend: same template, same data, just earlier.
What does event badge printing connect to?
To the guest list as the data source and for batches, online registration, where attendees enter their own name and company, event check-in as the print trigger, the seating chart for table numbers on the badge, event access control for printers, badge stock, scanners and access control, the on-site admission team for staff, and event reporting.
- Conference management: badge on day one, scans per day and session
- Trade show management: visitor badge with lead retrieval at the booth
- Training management: attendance per room via the barcode
