The challenge

Event management at enterprise scale.

Mercedes-Benz hosts supplier awards and employee anniversaries, plant festivals, sports events and internal meetings. Each of them comes with its own rules for registration, invitations and attendee logistics.

Behind them are different business units, many internal stakeholders and service providers, sensitive attendee data and workflows that never look the same twice. Sometimes it is a small circle of invited guests, sometimes tens of thousands of employees with their families.

A company of this size needs more than software. It needs a partner who understands approval paths, responsibilities and security requirements, and sets up the platform to fit its own structures.

Mercedes-Benz Supplier Award: many attendee groups, one registration.

With the Supplier Award, Mercedes-Benz honors its suppliers. For the 12th award on February 12, 2020, at the Mercedes Event Center in Sindelfingen, attendee management ran entirely on AirLST: a save-the-date for each attendee group, a landing page in Mercedes-Benz design, registration with plus-ones and a named substitute when someone declined, surveys before and after the event, and email support for guests.

A print station stood at the entrance: at check-in with the AirLST app, each name badge was ready in about 3 seconds.

When events become moments people remember.

Three events from the world of Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz produced them with its partners; where AirLST was involved, it says so.

  • About 100,000 visitors

Mercedes-Benz has built cars in Sindelfingen since July 7, 1915. For the site's 111th anniversary, the plant opened its gates to employees and their families for two days, with a classic car exhibition and a family day. About 100,000 people came, despite a closed highway.

AirLST's roleThe family festival's event site ran on the AirLST platform on a dedicated Mercedes-Benz domain.

In the Open Space in the Apothekenhof courtyard of Munich's Residenz palace, the new all-electric GLC celebrated its world premiere, alongside the new CLA family and a VLE prototype. Admission was free, test drives included. A brand presence that shows the scale at which Mercedes-Benz thinks about events.

Enterprise security

Enterprise security. No compromises.

For a global brand like Mercedes-Benz, data privacy and information security are not optional features. They are the baseline. The evidence is ready before procurement asks for it.

Enterprise know-how

Understanding global enterprises. Mastering large-scale events.

Enterprise event management rarely fails because of a missing feature. It fails at alignment, ownership and exceptions. That is why experience with how large companies work matters as much as the platform.

  • Many stakeholdersDepartments, sites and agencies work in the same system, each with their own permissions.
  • Corporate structuresDivisions, sites and brands get their own events, templates and owners, without siloed tools.
  • Standardized processesProven workflows become templates. The next event never starts from scratch.
  • Custom requirementsFields and attendee groups are configured, not coded. Anything beyond that, the team builds as a custom extension.
  • Security from day oneInformation security and data privacy are part of procurement, not an afterthought. The documentation is ready.
  • Every formatFrom a small invited circle to a plant festival with tens of thousands: one platform, one guest list.
  • Long-term partnershipSince 2020 the partnership has grown with every event. The team knows how the customer works.

AirLST combines the flexibility of modern event technology with the process know-how that global enterprises need.

The result

A partnership that sets the standard.

Since 2020, AirLST has been at the heart of attendee management at Mercedes-Benz. Today the platform handles the attendees of most internal meetings and events, and of course those of the high-profile large-scale events too.

15,000 events, one million attendees and 5,000 users show that AirLST delivers not only at individual flagship events but in the everyday work of a global company: at a Tuesday meeting just as at a plant festival with 100,000 guests.

Mercedes-Benz moves the world. AirLST brings people together.
