Event statistics and research on attendance

This is where AirLST brings together event statistics on registration, attendance and no-shows, curated honestly: we publish only evaluations we can back up, and our own studies and white papers will be added here once they are finished. Until then, the most reliable event statistics are the ones from your own events.

Our own studies and white papers will follow

We publish only solid, traceable evaluations here, not numbers pulled together from other lists. Our own studies and white papers will appear on this page once they are finished. Until then, the basic metrics are defined in the event glossary, and the implementation guide includes a chapter on reporting.

FAQ

Event statistics FAQ

What are event statistics?

In the events industry, event statistics are the numbers that describe how people move through an event: invitations sent, registrations, cancellations, check-ins at the door and no-shows. Aggregated across many events they become industry statistics; for a single event they are your own reporting. (In mathematics, an "event" means something else: an outcome in probability theory.)

How can I tell whether an event industry statistic is reliable?

Check four things before you quote a number: who collected the data, how many events or respondents it covers, when it was collected, and whether the method is published. Survey answers about intentions ("we plan to run more hybrid events") are not the same as measured attendance. If a list of statistics gives no source or date for a figure, treat that figure as unverified.

Does AirLST publish its own event research?

Not yet. AirLST has managed more than 20 million attendees on its platform, but we only publish evaluations we can back up and explain. Our own studies and white papers will appear on this page once they are finished; until then we do not compile numbers from third-party lists.

How do I get notified when new AirLST research is published?

Subscribe to the AirLST newsletter. We announce new studies and data articles there.
