The challenge

A three-day summit, fully digital.

For Zalando's Digital Acceleration Summit, AirLST and the agency untitled Project delivered a three-day digital event. Almost 30 speakers covered digital trends and solutions in their talks. Polls captured the mood in the audience and helped evaluate trends.

In topic-based discussion rooms, attendees were to talk directly with industry experts. The breaks needed entertainment too: a souvenir shot in the photobooth or a conversation with other attendees in a private room.

The AirLST solution

A virtual event platform and attendee management in one.

AirLST integrated the event into its platform for virtual events and connected it to attendee management. Content reached attendees through a reliable live stream and the event landing page with a content hub.

Interaction and networking ran through breakout rooms, a Q&A module, chat and the Wonder integration. The built-in photobooth kept the mood relaxed and casual.

FAQ

Zalando case study FAQ

What was the Zalando Digital Acceleration Summit?

A three-day virtual summit for Zalando, the European online fashion retailer, delivered by AirLST together with the agency untitled Project. Almost 30 speakers presented digital trends and solutions to 800 attendees. AirLST was the platform for attendee management, the event landing page, live streams and interaction.

What is a virtual summit?

A virtual summit is a multi-day online event with a speaker program that attendees join from anywhere, usually through one event hub with live streams, sessions and networking. The Zalando summit is a typical example: one landing page as the central hub, streamed talks, polls during the sessions and discussion rooms for smaller groups.

How do you keep attendees engaged at a virtual summit?

Give them something to do between and during the talks. At the Zalando summit, attendees asked speakers questions through a live question module and chat, answered live polls, met industry experts in topic-based discussion rooms and used a photobooth integration and private rooms during the breaks.

How did Zalando use live polls during the event?

Polls ran during the sessions to capture the mood in the audience and to evaluate trends on the spot. The same survey tools work after an event as well; see post-event surveys.

Which AirLST features carried the Zalando summit?

Attendee management for all 800 attendees, an event website with a content hub, live streams of the talks, breakout and discussion rooms, a question-and-answer module and chat, polls, and integrations with Wonder and a photobooth.
