Event management software comparison: categories, criteria and alternatives
An event management software comparison should answer "Which solution fits us?" in a way you can check: by category, against criteria, with vendor names and sources. We publish one comparison page per buying question instead of dozens of head-to-head pages, keep it dated and current, and place AirLST in it honestly, including where another category is the better choice.

Rules that apply to every comparison page
- Vendors are named as examples of their category, not in head-to-head matchups; every statement about a vendor cites a public source with its retrieval date.
- No checkmark tables against competitors; yes-or-no comparisons only against spreadsheets and single-purpose tools, where the differences are structural.
- Statements about AirLST come from our fact base and can be checked in the Trust Center and on the pricing page.
- Every page shows its date, review cycle and change history; vendor information is reviewed quarterly.
- Our alternative pages make no statements about the other vendor's product; they list the questions to ask and how AirLST answers them.

Event software comparison FAQ
How do you compare event management software?
Start with the job, not the vendor list. Three questions narrow the field: Do you sell tickets to the public or manage invited guests? Do you run one event or an event program with several teams? Which requirements apply to data privacy, hosting and integrations? The answers point to one of five categories, and only then is it worth comparing named vendors on criteria such as pricing logic, guest list features, check-in and hosting location.
What is the difference between ticketing and event management software?
Ticketing platforms are built to sell tickets to an open audience: reach through a marketplace and payment processing come first, with a fee per ticket sold. Event management software for invited guests is built around the guest list, invitations with RSVP, quotas per guest group and check-in at the door. AirLST can also sell tickets when needed, see event ticketing.
Why are there no head-to-head comparison tables against competitors?
Feature checklists against named competitors age quickly and are hard to verify. We name vendors as examples of their category, back every statement about them with a public source and a retrieval date, and mark anything not publicly documented as "not stated". Yes-or-no comparisons are reserved for spreadsheets and single-purpose tools, where the differences are structural.
Can I try AirLST for free?
Yes. AirLST is free for events with up to 50 guests; invitations, online registration, the digital guest list and the check-in app are included. Details on plans and volumes are on the pricing page.
