The year 2021 is drawing to a close, and once again, we look back on a somewhat different year: events primarily took place online or were designed as hybrid events.
A year ago, we wrote here: "Last year, we learned to keep a cool head and adapt our plans at short notice to changing situations. We want to maintain this flexibility and composure to continue working productively and constructively. We look forward to new formats and ideas, to the ongoing digitalization of the event industry, and to exciting challenges that we can tackle together."
In 2021, we managed over 150 virtual and hybrid events. We, our clients, and partners once again had to demonstrate our flexibility, as the regulations governing hybrid events seemed to change constantly. Optimism and creativity were constant companions, as were determination and focus. Virtual events have become our new normal; we have discovered and developed numerous new formats and event ideas, expanded our software, and improved all technical prerequisites so that people can connect interactively, accessibly, and virtually.
With AirLST, you no longer just reach your guests' home offices via live stream; you can take them into your individually designed virtual event venues. We have created landscape parks for garden tool manufacturers, built virtual homes for smart home providers, digitally enhanced exhibition stands for dental care products, and promoted health in virtual yoga studios. Online games, quizzes, photo walls, and breakout rooms for collaborative work make virtual events more than just a Zoom session. Our clients confirm this: their guests are satisfied. They say: The current conditions require us to leave familiar paths; creativity and innovation are essential once again.
Even though hopes for in-person events were repeatedly dashed, we perceive a great deal of positive pragmatism and a good measure of optimism. Therefore, we would like to say thank you at this point. We thank you for your loyalty and trust, for the productive collaboration, and for your consistently constructive feedback. We can say: We did this well together. In times of distance and separation, we have created spaces and opportunities for meetings, communication, exchange, and connection. We understood challenges as opportunities and developed a new product that is needed in these times.
We want to leverage this good collaboration and, now during the Christmas season, do even more good. That's why this year, together with clients and partners, we are supporting schoolchildren in Kayole. Kayole is a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. Children live here who need opportunities and support to break the cycle of poverty. The Lovely Ones Education Center enables them to attend school, provides therapeutic support to families when needed, and offers them a safe, protected haven. We asked clients, partners, and friends if we could send a donation to the Lovely Ones on their behalf. Through one of our employees, we have personal contact with the local organization and can ensure that all donations reach their intended destination. In January, we will let you know what we can do together for the Lovely Ones Educational Center.
We wish you, our clients, friends, partners, affiliates, and followers a Merry and blessed Christmas, as well as a happy and, above all, healthy year 2022! May the beautiful memories endure and motivate you to experience and do even more positive things. We look forward to your new ideas and projects in the coming year!
