Our Case Study for Munich Airport

Munich Airport

The internal summer party kicked things off and was exclusively for airport employees, closed to the public. Registration was only possible with an employee ID.

The Music Days, featuring countless concerts and live acts, were open to everyone from near and far. Munich residents and visitors could register with up to five additional people.

The Airport Days primarily focused on younger visitors. For this part of the event, a section of the apron was made accessible to the public, and various aircraft types were exhibited. Security personnel had to maintain an overview of all individuals present on the apron at all times.

AirLST Solution

A dedicated iFrame integration was programmed for each event on a subpage of Munich Airport's website. Accreditation could be completed here, tailored to the respective event information.

The registration form was advertised via print, radio, and web to generate the highest possible traffic. Each guest entered their own contact details as well as those of up to five accompanying persons into the system. As a result, up to six QR code tickets were sent via email to the main contact.

AirLST provided live technical support for all five days. Check-ins and check-outs were managed across various areas to always have a detailed overview of the number of guests present in each specific area.

In total, 80,000 people registered for the various event sections. For scanning the QR code tickets, we used 20 iPhones and the AirLST Pro App.
