QR code tickets for events

QR code ticketing makes admission management even faster and more efficient.

Admission management can be so easy

In order to guarantee regulated admission, we work with QR code tickets. Every guest who is invited to an event and registered receives an individual code, which we use in the Online registration Play as a QR code on a ticket. In the AirLST ticket editor, this ticket can be created in the customer's design. Users can choose whether they prefer the ticket as a PDF file or as a PKPass file for Apple Wallet.

What is a QR Code?

QR codes allow comprehensive information to be easily stored and read out quickly. Electronic tickets with QR codes are therefore an ideal solution for smooth entry and professional guest management. QR Codes were developed in 1994 in the Toyota environment. Storing large data sets in visual binary code proves to be extremely efficient and flexible. The codes are first used to mark components in the automotive supplier industry and to fix specific information in compressed form on the individual components. Once again, the automotive industry is confirming its role as a pioneer here. Today, the QR code is used worldwide in a wide variety of industries and sectors: to mark products, to simplify logistical processes, to disseminate detailed information on advertising posters or in the cultural industry, and even on visa papers and other government documents. The small black and white patterned squares have become commonplace and almost everyone always has the reader with them in the form of their smartphone. This is how the QR codes live up to their name — the QR stands for Quick Response.

QR codes for the event industry

Quick Response, that is a guideline for the event industry, it's no wonder that QR codes are so popular and frequently used here. We particularly need quick responses when coordinating our guests. Nobody likes long lines at the entrance, so the electronic recording of all guests in a digital guest list not only helps with data management, but also at the entrance. As soon as a guest's QR code ticket is scanned, the cloud-based guest list is updated. The organizers therefore always have an overview of questions such as: How many visitors are already in the location? Which guests are still missing? Which group of participants does the guest belong to? This is because information such as guest categories, workshop selection or the like can also be stored in the QR code ticket. At the entrance, guests are coordinated accordingly after a brief scan of the QR code ticket.

Integrated copy protection

The cloud-based guest management system based on QR code tickets also comes with integrated copy protection. By constantly updating the digital guest list, organizers are always aware of the status of each guest. If the same code is scanned again, a message appears that this code has already been used. As a result, there is no need to set up any other form of ticket validation. Watermarks and other protection functions are also omitted due to the automated digital validation of the codes. The QR code ticket therefore ensures quick and professional admission management.
